Snow Day!
Celebrate the holidays and help local animal rescues!

In honor of Senator Thomas Watson’s beloved dog, Snow, and to benefit Lucky Dog Rescue and Kitty Konnections Rescue -- Hickory Hill will host Snow Day on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Visitors donating pet food or pet products for the rescues will receive free admission to the beautifully restored 1865 Classical Revival home. Children can make a snow-themed craft.

Shuttle bus lead tour of homes in the Thomson area - decorated by area merchants and designers for the holidays. Shuttles leave from the church beginning at 5:00 pm

One Night in Bethlehem: A Drive Thru Nativity

A life-like trip back in time 2,000 years to Bethlehem.  From Caesar's decree, to the angel's announcements to Mary and Joseph, to their trip to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus, and finally to the shepherds and wise men, participants get to experience that most Holy Night through sights and sounds.  Live animals and actors, elaborately decorated sets, and dynamic narration.

The Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival debuted in 1993, to honor the music and spirit of Blind Willie McTell. The festival has been going strong ever since, and is still staged in the same grassy field it debuted in almost 21 years ago.

Belle Meade Hunt Opening Meet

Ride along on a Tally-ho wagon for what is likely the largest opening day meet of any fox hunt in the world, riding through the historic sites and beautiful rolling countryside of McDuffie County, following hunters and hounds on a simulated fox hunt.
