McDuffie Arts Council Announces Signature Exhibition

MAC's first annual fine arts event will feature local visual, performance and literary artists. The exhibition has been designed to promote the cultural and artistic resources of the Greater McDuffie County region and celebrate the wealth of talent that abounds in the area. Arts In The Alley will take place in the heart of the Thomson Commercial Historic District on the nostalgic brick paved Journal Street. Highlights of the event include various performances by a diverse mixture of musical ensembles and dance troupes as well as a sampling of local cuisine. Local visual artist representing various media types that include painting, pottery, metal work, sculpture, photography, illustration and folk art will showcase thier works. Many children's art activities are planned as well as story telling and poetry reading. The day long cultural event will take place rain or shine. Manna Inc. will accept food donations to its local food bank as admission to the event.
